How to delete your Facebook account
Facebook has no subscription to cancel — the real exit is deleting your account. Deactivating is the reversible version and hides you without losing anything.

Step by step
- Sign in at facebook.com.
- Open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- Go to Your Facebook information and choose Deactivation and deletion.
- Pick Delete account, then continue and enter your password.
Watch out for
- Deactivation is reversible; deletion is not. There’s a short grace period before it’s permanent.
- Download your photos and data before you delete — you can’t get them back afterwards.
- Pages and groups you admin may be deleted with your account.
